GUEST BOOK

I am very sorry to hear of Essie's passing--I worked with her from 1978 through 1985 with PPQ in Savannah. She was always glad to help everyone and had a great sense of humor. I still have the little statue she gave me when I left in 1985. I will miss you, Essie. Sincerely, Jim Neal

It was a pleasure to have known and worked with Essie at the local USDA Plant Protection and Quarantine office. She was a fine lady and her picture still adorns our office today. Condolences go out to all her loved ones from Donna, Caitlin and myself.

I am sorry to hear about Essie's passing. All her friends from IAAP have many fond memories of our travels together to State, Region and International Conferences. Essie was such a spirited person always dressed to the 'nines'--coordinated from head to toe. I remember how she was always so proud of the accomplishments of her family members. She was always eager to cheer on the accomplishments of others as well. I know God's hands are upon her now and she is with her 'Pete' smiling down on all of us.

- Diana Hodges, Savannah, GA

Essie's professionalism and integrity at our USDA office was an example for everyone. We are proud to have have worked with her and she served her country well. Our sympathies go out to all her family and friends.

I know Miss Essie will be greatly missed. I enjoyed my relationship with her when I worked for Congressman Lindsay Thomas and our offices were on the same floor. She will be fondly remembered by a great many people.

Pete, Meg and family, I was sorry to see that Essie had died. Another one of the 'girls' of SVA 1936. I know my meeting with her were always a joy. And if she and Mom got together, forget about getting a word in. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
